Dr. Merchan was born in Bogota, Colombia and she is fluent in Spanish!  She attended Florida State Univeristy for undergrad and received her veterinary degree in Sydney, Australia.  She relocated to Tennessee in June 2022 with her partner, her dog, Oliver, and her Persian cat, Louie.

Her main interests are ophthalmology, oncology, and ultrasound.
