Dr. Kendal Skowyra was born and raised in Huntington Beach, CA.  She received her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science from Oregon State University before graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri in May 2021. 

Dr. Kendal's professional interests include dentistry, all things feline medicine, and surgery. She is a self-proclaimed crazy cat lady- especially black cats!  

In her free time, she and her husband Andrew enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring new restaurants, and binge watching shows on Netflix. Their family of fur-kids includes four cats named Toby, Spike, Angus (aka Steak), and Missy Moo Moo, along with two dogs named Nova and Comet. Dr. Kendal also has a horse named Memphis and spends much of her time off spoiling him. 

Dr. Kendal has been at SVC since 2021 and is eager to continue to help all the pets and pet parents for many years to come!
