Dr. Jessica Gomez is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for every patient she meets. With a strong foundation in emergency and critical care medicine, she has transitioned into general practice, where she especially values the lasting relationships she builds with clients and their pets.

Dr. Gomez completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Central Missouri and went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2021. During her years in veterinary school, shaped by the unique challenges of the pandemic, she discovered her calling in the demanding yet deeply rewarding world of emergency medicine.

Her journey began as an assistant in the Emergency and Critical Care Department, where she quickly developed a love for the fast pace, complexity, and lifesaving impact of her work. She advanced her training through mentorships at Mission Veterinary Emergency and Specialty and Overland Park Veterinary Emergency and Specialty, then went on to serve as an ER doctor before joining Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas. These experiences sharpened her clinical skills and deepened her commitment to providing exceptional, compassionate care.

Today, Dr. Gomez calls the Nashville area home, where she shares life with her partner, Caleb, and their joyful menagerie: Ben, an energetic standard poodle; Steve, a gentle and towering Great Dane; two resilient tripod cats, Gadget and Tuna; and Pip, her beloved horse. Beyond the clinic, she loves reading, solving puzzles, horseback riding, staying active, and exploring the world through travel.

Dr. Gomez looks forward to caring for the pets in her community and to building meaningful, long-term relationships with the families who love them.
