Originally from the south suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Cassello moved even farther south after achieving her life-long dream of becoming a Veterinarian! She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a James Scholar with her B.S. in Animal Sciences. Dr. Cassello decided to stick around for four more years in order to earn her DVM at Illinois' College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Cassello is a proud dog mom to a perfect mutt-butt named "Tuna". Ever since she rescued "Tuna" from University of Illinois Vet Med's junior surgery program. Her hobbies have included going on walks with "Tuna, binge watching Netflix shows with "Tuna". Dr. Cassello also enjoys exploring the great outdoors, listening to live music, shopping at Sephora, pretending to be a foodie , and working out to attempt to offset all the food she eats. Professionally, Dr. Cassello is interested in surgery, dentistry, behavior and preventive care. She is passionate about the human-animal bond and loves to hear any and every goofy pet-related story!
