Quality Care For Your Family Friend
Pharmacy & Retail Center
Our fully stocked pharmacy means you get your pet's medication immediately—no need to make an additional stop to fill a prescription. We also carry a variety of products for parasite (heart and intestinal worm) prevention and flea and tick control. We stock a variety of special diets for your pet. Be sure to take a look at our retail center on your next visit. We keep it stocked with a variety of pet accessories and specialty treats for our four legged friends.
Preventive Health Care
The best way to treat medical problems is to prevent them. Be sure to schedule bi-annual checkups for your pet along with regular vaccinations and screenings for intestinal worms and heartworms. We also emphasize affordable wellness screening blood panels as well as senior/geriatric work ups to ensure your pet’s health.
We pledge to do our best to protect your pet against contagious diseases. We tailor individual vaccination programs to your particular pet’s lifestyle, including three-year vaccination protocols.
When it comes to caring for your pet's skin, we offer diagnostic tests and treatment options for parasitic skin diseases, food allergies, pollen allergies, hormonal disorders, as well as other skin conditions.
Proper dental care will keep your pet healthier longer. Dental disease affects the kidneys, heart, joints, and comfort of your pet. At SVC, we recommend routine preventative dental cleanings and brushing teeth at home. Recently, SVC purchased a digital dental X-ray unit and will take full-mouth X-rays of your pet while they are getting their denistry. Our dental X-ray has been a wonderful tool in diagnosing hidden diseases of your pet's teeth.
To ensure rapid, accurate results, SVC has an in-house laboratory. Complete blood counts, full- chemistry panels, thyroid, and pre-surgical panels can all be done in a matter of minutes. SVC utilizes excellent outside labs when less common tests are required.
Digital radiology has arrived and we love it at SVC! Digital images of your pet can be viewed rapidly in the exam room. These images can also be sent to area specialists upon referral and/or to obtain a second opinion from a board-certified radiologist. A copy of the images can also be made for you to take home.
A separate, fully equipped surgical suite ensures the best for your pet. We use advanced monitoring equipment and licensed veterinary technicians to monitor heart rate, respiration, blood pressure, oxygen levels, and ECG on all anesthetized patients. If a surgical procedure is beyond our skill set, we have board-certified specialists in the area and a mobile surgical practice that will perform specialized surgeries at our front door for your convenience.
Even with the best of care, pets do get sick. And when your pet is not feeling well, you want the best. All of our doctors receive a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education every year to help ensure they remain updated with the most-recent and advanced information to diagnose and treat medical problems in pets.
Our doctors and licensed veterinary technicians can help develop dietary programs for your pet. Weight loss, intestinal problems, food allergies and specific organ diseases are just a few problems that can be treated with proper nutritional counseling.
Any stray or lost pet will always be scanned for microchips at SVC. We offer "HomeAgain" microchipping to help prevent the loss of your pet. We have reunited many pets with their owners over the years through this process. A small microchip implanted under the skin during a routine visit or at the time of spaying or neutering, can prevent the loss of a loved one.
Boarding and Grooming
Planning a trip? Let us take care of your pet! We have boarding facilities for large and small pets and a caring, qualified staff to provide lots of TLC while you are gone. You also get the peace of mind knowing a veterinarian is immediately available in case of a medical problem. Space is limited so make your reservation early. SVC offers professional grooming to keep your pet looking great. Medical baths and grooming are also offered to those pets with certain skin conditions. Appointments and current vaccine history are necessary.
